Foundations to Freedom: real manners for a calmer home

Echo Dogs' flagship 8-week transformation program. 16 private sessions with Anthony, a customized plan and homework after every session.

Chapter 01

Your dog does not need a new personality

Door chaos, jumping on guests, barking at every sound, a dog that cannot settle while you cook dinner. Most owners living with this feel like they are always reacting instead of leading.

A calm home is not a personality trait. It is the result of clear systems and consistent follow-through, and Foundations to Freedom is built to put those systems in place. It is the flagship program at Echo Dogs Training, designed to turn a dog into a calm, confident and reliable companion.

Eight weeks, 16 sessions, two a week

You get 16 private coaching sessions over 8 weeks, two each week, built on a customized training plan. Every session is hands-on, so you understand not only what to do but why it works. Anthony starts with clear communication and engagement, then adds obedience, impulse control and manners, then moves the work into distracting places where real life happens.

That includes teaching your dog to stay neutral around other dogs and people, using pattern games and trigger recovery so your dog learns to settle after something exciting. The approach is force-free: management first, so unwanted habits stop getting rehearsed, and training second.

Chapter 03

Homework, graduation and a plan that lasts

After every session you take home practice exercises that fit your actual day, and coaching throughout the program keeps your timing and your routines consistent. Between sessions, you are the one running the system.

The program finishes with a graduation plan and long-term maintenance strategies. Whether you started with a young dog, a dog that needed polish or one with behavior challenges, you leave knowing how to keep the results.

“I've seen such a positive transformation in my pet's behavior.” Traci Wilson, Google review.

What you work on

What the 16 sessions cover

Communication and motivation
Engagement and relationship building, marker training, feeding foundations.
Core skills
Sit, down, place, wait and leave it, reliable recall, loose leash walking and heel.
Home and impulse control
Household manners, impulse control, calm greetings and polite behavior.
The real world
Dog and people neutrality, pattern games and trigger recovery, and training in distracting environments.

The last stage ends with long-term maintenance strategies, so what works in week eight keeps working next spring. If your dog's main trouble is a strong reaction to other dogs or strangers, Calm Before Control may be the better first step.
